Filming weddings is a wild and incredible honor for me. Couples trust me to capture this huge milestone in their lives and preserve it forever and that trust is not lost on me. Filming your wedding day is NEVER about “getting content” for me - its a preservation of this one fleeting moment and capturing it as it was. I don’t do overly posed shots and focus on telling an real and vibrant story about you. I am unique in the industry because I always give all the raw footage to my couples for free. You actually experiencing your wedding is of the upmost importance and I am here to help make that happen (and capture stunning moments along the way) My name is Candice and I have filmed over 400 weddings since 2013. I also have my Masters in Cinema from UCLA and work full time as a film maker.

Add Real Kodak 16mm Film to Your Wedding day

Step up from the point and shoot home video - Super8 and add on pro-level Kodak 16mm film to any wedding. Double the size and often used in feature films, the larger negative surface allows it to be much sharper and render much more detail than Super8. I also offer filming entirely on All Real Film and nothing digital (for less money than you think)

I’m Candice, the lead cinematographer & photographer of Spin the Dial! I am based in Los Angeles & Joshua Tree California. But I’ll travel anywhere in the world to help you celebrate your union!

I believe you should find people you trust and empowers you to feel your best! My style is natural and candid. Your wedding isn’t about “getting content” for me, its about preserving this one incredible fleeting day for a lifetime of enjoyment. My goal is to be as invisible as a ghost and capture your day just as it happened and create a story that is reflective of who you are. The name, Spin the Dial, comes from a spontaneous trip to Mexico I took with an old friend. To me it represents taking a chance and being fearless, which is where all the best art is made

I got my start in a photo dark room lab in high school and fell in LOVE with the chemicals & magic of image making. I was obsessed and very early on and it was an easy decision to make this my whole life. I received my BFA in Photography in Denver and then later my MFA in Cinema at UCLA. I’ve been gleefully capturing weddings since 2013 (over 400 to date) and when I’m not crying happy tears at your wedding, I work as a Director of Photography for narrative films and commercials or you can find me out hiking with my pup on a dusty trail.

This is more than a career for me. Its not just a ‘job’. Image making is my way of life and the compass that I follow. Its my whole entire heart and I love sharing that magic with our couples and helping preserve memories to make them indelible.

Step #2

After you have contacted me with your desired pacakge or set up a time to chat where I can help you decide what pacakge best fits you; I will then send you a contract to review and make it official. I ask for 50% up front as a retainer to reserve the date. I accept all forms of payment through Honeybook.

Step #3

Once you’ve booked me and now we can get ready to party! I am always happy to help with recommendations on other vendors to help make your event exactly how you envisioned, let me know! And after the big event, I will be sure to make extra copies of your digital files that I mail to you on USB for free along with your edited films!
