Wedding and engagement photography
I’m currently in the process of transitioning into shooting wedding and engagement photography! After being a wedding videographer for the past five years I am so excited to bring over 15 years of photographic experience and my in depth knowledge of weddings together and transition into being primarily a wedding photographer! I love filming weddings, but I am looking forward to shifting my focus to having a deeper relationship with my couples and clients and be able to more directly bring your wedding vision to life.
My wedding photography prices are currently low as I build my portfolio, so please contact me right away to take advantage of my cheaper photo packages! I would shoot primarily digital, but I would love to add real film and create something truly unique and timeless for your engagement or wedding day!
I received by Bachelors in Fine Art in Photography in 2010 and was fortunate to have began my studies in art in the dark room processing and printing real photographic film. I love focusing on using natural light and creating an intimate space to be natural and candid. I brought that same vision to my graduate studies and finished my Masters in Fine Art in Film from UCLA in 2016.
engagement - Danielle + wade // Seal Beach, California
Danielle reached out to me and said that they were looking for something moody, romantic and represented them. I knew the perfect place would be to shoot in their own backyard of seal beach. Wade is a pro football player (actual football, like the kind where you kick a real ball around on a field with your feet, not the oblong ball that people throw and carry in their arms, lol) so it was easy to get them to go running through the ocean and kick up some salt water. I got in with them and got soaked! But it was such a blast! While we waited for the sun to reach a perfect place in the sky, and making he most gorgeous vanilla fire sunset ever, we popped into their local haunt for some beers and pool (which you can see in the gallery) I wish we could do this photo shoot every weekend.
WEDDING - BETHANY + CHRIS // HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA
Bethany and Chris were nothing short of classic. So beautiful, kind, and thoughtful. There was so much joy on this day and we had a ton of fun taking the golf cart out and doing their couples portraits after their ceremony. Then everyone rocked the dance floor!
engagement - dustin + david // hollywood, California
I firmly believe that all Love is Love, so photographing Dustin and David’s engagement is incredibly special to me. The two are having a night ceremony for their actual wedding and they asked me to capture something similar for their engagement under the night sky. Dustin sent me a music video he liked with neon lights and I instantly thought of the bright and fun streets of Hollywood. They said they felt suuuuuper shy in front of the camera, but as the day went on (and I got some shots of tequila in them) we had such a blast and kept laughing all through the famed streets of Hollywood. People even cheered us on! Not for me, by the way, but for the love that these two shared and being brave to be out in the open with who they really are.
engagement - JOelly + Michael // topanga, California
These two are pure Royalty. There are getting married in the Dominican Republic, but before they go jet setting overseas we met up on a warm spring day at the 1909 in Topanga Canyon in California to take some super fun pics. I climbed into the little stream to get some of the shots, but it was totally worth it!
family photos - karmela + Julian // Beverly Hills, california
I was super lucky to have filmed their wedding in 2017, we shot on Super8 and could not stop laughing! So when they asked me to take some photos for their first Christmas card as a old married couple I was all in! I suggested we go somewhere that’s SoCal classic and we headed off to Beverly Hills. Karmela, not to be outdone by her surroundings, wore the cutest palm tree romper and made the famous city an accessory to her. I adore these two all to pieces and I can’t wait for them to start having babies so we can add yet another cutie into the mix.
