Candice Nachman
Owner / Lead Cinematographer, Photographer & Editor

Candice received her MFA in Film Directing from UCLA. She has been granted awards from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and the Jack Nicholson distinguished  Student Director award for her writing and editing. She celebrates capturing the most real and honest moments in her wedding films. If you look closely, she will probably be wiping away happy tears during your vows or 1st dance. Candice is the perfect sap to help you tell a personal story that is unique to you. She grew up in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado where she developed her first love of the natural beauty of the world and first studied photography in undergrad at Metro State (where she would meet Robert) When she's not working on wedding films she is planning her next adventure, working on a feature script / editing feature films, and slowly eating at every place on Jonathan Gold's 101 best of LA list.

Robert Nachman
Co-Owner / Cinematographer & Editor

Robert recived his MFA in Cinematography from AFI in June 2018. Robert had first developed his love for the photographic image while studying in a photo summer program in Missoula, Montana in 2005. The Philadelphia native had later moved to Colorado where he met Candice while studying photography. Robert has an uncanny ability to be able to always find the perfect light (its almost like he has a side deal with the heavens) and is the quiet observer who will capture all the moments you didn't even know he was there to capture. Our couples often lovingly refer to him as the "ghost" as he will make him self invisible and blend seamlessly into your wedding day. But don't let that fool you, he is incredibly dedicated to his craft and to telling honest stories.  When not working on films Robert can be found rock climbing in Joshua Tree, making up musical jingles, and even when lounging...he still does it with style.

Ariel Aboody

Ariel is a genius. Well, at least he used to be…at an Apple Store. An LA native, with an eye for composition, and being in the right place at the right time, he honed his craft while backpacking through South America on everything from a donkey, a bus, a bike, and his own two feet. Our couples always fall in love with Ariel's positivity and professionalism. Nowadays, he can be found shooting weddings, trail running through the Santa Monica mountains, or annoying his dog while she sleeps on the couch.

Gayatri Bajpai

Gayatri is an Indo-Canadian Director / Editor based in Los Angeles. She got her MFA in Directing at UCLA, where she made her thesis film in collaboration with James Franco’s company Rabbit Bandini, and produced a documentary about Francis Ford Coppola’s Distant Vision. Most recently, she has taught a film course at UCLA's Summer Institute, is writing a film about the liminal experiences of Indian expats, and edits odes to love for Spin the Dial Productions. Gayatri has a flair for fun and sees beauty in even the most mundane moments in life. She's the newest member of the Spin the Dial team!  has bee

Eben Portnoy

Eben grew up on a farm on Cape Cod, Massachusetts and spent his teens and early twenties shellfishing, building houses, teaching art, and traveling the world performing in experimental pop bands. He graduated with an MFA in Film Directing from UCLA in 2014.

Eben is by far our sweetest and most friendly member of Spin the Dial (and that’s saying a lot!) When he’s not making wedding films he’s working on his feature doc film that he is shooting in South Korea.
